The Cynosure Cynergy is a dual-wavelength vascular workstation combining an 585nm pulsed dye laser (PDL) with a 1064nm Nd:YAG laser in one delivery system. Its proprietary MultiPlex™ technology enables sequential emission of both wavelengths through a single handpiece, allowing clinicians to treat a broader range of vessel sizes at lower fluence levels than either wavelength alone.
The 585nm PDL channel is highly selective for small-diameter vessels associated with rosacea and couperose, with shallow penetration that keeps scarring risk low. Operating parameters span a fluence range up to 25 J/cm² on the PDL side and 300 J/cm² on the Nd:YAG side, with pulse widths from 0.5–40ms (PDL) and 0.5–300ms (Nd:YAG), and spot sizes from 2.8–15.3mm depending on wavelength and handpiece. The Cynergy is indicated for telangiectasia, angiomas, rosacea, spider veins, hemangiomas, and mature port-wine stains, and has been studied for safety in pediatric use.
