The system uses an 810 nm diode wavelength, penetrating to the hair follicle while minimizing damage to surrounding tissue. Sapphire treatment tips with Advanced Contact Cooling protect the epidermis and keep clients comfortable, while Photon Recycling technology redirects unused energy back into the treatment area for more thorough follicle coagulation and fewer repeat passes.
A key differentiator for this unit is the integrated Skintel Melanin Reader — the only FDA-cleared melanin density reader on the market. It measures a patient's actual melanin index before treatment and recommends safe, optimized settings accordingly, rather than relying on visual skin-type estimation alone. This reduces the risk of overtreatment and helps deliver consistent results across skin types I–VI, including tanned skin.
With a large 23 x 38 mm spot size capable of up to 3 Hz repetition rate, the Vectus can clear large areas like the back or legs in minutes, making it well suited to busy, high-throughput clinics. The included small 12 x 12 mm tip allows for more precise work on smaller areas such as the face or underarms.
