SLIMUS by Hironic is a non-invasive body contouring device built around Laser Vibration Alliance Technology (LVAT), pairing a 1060nm InGaAs diode laser with synchronized interval vibration to accelerate fat cell metabolism. The 1060nm wavelength was selected for its deep tissue penetration and low absorption in the dermis, allowing energy to reach subcutaneous fat safely across a wide range of skin tones.
During treatment, the diode laser raises adipose tissue temperature to roughly 42–47°C, disrupting the structural integrity of fat cells and triggering apoptosis. This effect is reinforced by dual micro BLDC vibration motors built into each handpiece, which help stimulate lymphatic drainage and accelerate the body's natural clearance of the treated fat over the following weeks. Because the applicators are flat and non-suction, treatments leave no bruising or pinch marks.
SLIMUS ships with four handpieces for simultaneous multi-area treatment — commonly the abdomen, back, arms, and thighs — and completes a full session in approximately 25 minutes, considerably faster than most non-surgical body contouring platforms. An intuitive 3D-guided interface lets clinicians track and record treatment parameters per patient.
